me. in bullet points:

  • I was born and raised in Alaska.
  • I love Alaska, but couldn't wait to get out. (Now I miss it, but could never go back except for vacation.)
  • Played just about every sport I could in high school so I didn't have to sit around the house doing chores. (I still had to do the chores.)
  • Basketball was/is my favorite sport.
  • I thought I wanted to be a wildlife biologist when I grew up. (Even went to the University of Alaska Fairbanks for two years before realizing that wasn't the right career path for me.)
  • After discovering that I was always meant to be a graphic designer, I moved to Washington to attend the Art Institute of Seattle.
  • Was planning on moving back to Alaska after graduation to start my own design firm.
  • A fantastic twist of fate landed me my dream job as a designer with the Seattle Sonics & Storm. (Side note: my dad laughed at me when I told him I would love to one day work for the Sonics. Challenge accepted!)
  • Decided NOT to move back to Alaska.
  • Stayed in Seattle when the team moved to Oklahoma City.
  • Got a job at PRO Sports Club.
  • I have a beautiful wife, beautiful daughter, awesome son, and one amazing dog.
  • Moved to Portland in September 2016 to be closer to family.
